The Studio Northwest is an acting studio of work, service, support, and dedication. The Studio is always about the student’s work and the relationship between actors and our coaches. We provide a safe place for actors to explore the deepest layers of their inner art, always keeping sight of the individual and provide the highest quality of care for the process.
We are a Meisner based studio, wth roots in “living truthfully under imaginary circumstances” also working with influences from Stanislavski, Suzuki, Sense Memory, Physical Theater and more. All our coaches currently work in the industry, providing real-time information and a realistic look at creating a pathway to becoming a working actor.
Founder, Katie O’Grady, began teaching acting for kids and teens in 2006. Since then, the studio has his grown to 100+ students of all ages. Katie works diligently in TV/Film as an actress and behind the camera as a producer and director. Deeply committed to the NW film community, Katie fosters a studio vibe where hard work and dedication are key.
